Mandy and I had dinner at Pawley’s Charcoal Steakhouse in Mauldin, SC last week andit was great!
I had a half rack of ribs and grilled chicken with fries as my main course, shecrabsoup as the starter, and some bananna pudding for desert. Mandy had a 9oz steak mediumwell with fries for her main course, salad as the starter, and the same desert (weshared).
The ribs I ordered for a half rack was the size of a normal full rack. They were verytender and fell off the bones. Their BBQ sause is tomato based and was just wonderful.The meat was full of flavor. The desert was served warm in a mason jar as it is theowners mother’s recipe.
We found the waitressto be really nice and helpful. All in all this was the best restaurant we have dinedin the Upstate.

On the reccommendation of Gary Wallace Mandy and I went to try out the ice cream shop”Spill the Beans” on Woodruff Rd last night. It was great! The ice cream shop is locatedat 1607 Woodruff Road, Greenville, SC 29607 – (864)288-2941. Their ice cream is unique in that it is soft serve and you can choose anynumber of combinations to create your own flavor. For instance I chose a Vanilla baseand added Coffee, Toffee, and Pecans. It came to be all blended together – the toffeeand pecans in tiny pieces all throughout the ice cream! Mandy ordered a Vanilla basewith Bananna and Marshmellows. The marshmellows were also bits throughout the icecream. The atmosphere inside was also very nice – quiet and cozy. We highly reccommendthis ice cream shop as a great stop in the Greenville / Mauldin area.
